General questions

Orders and Returns

Once your order has been processed, you will automatically receive an email with your tracking code. When ordered in time (please refer to “What are the delivery times and shipments costs?”), your order will be processed the same day so that you can receive your order the next working day in the Netherlands. Belgium and Luxembourg may take a day longer.

To check if your order has been received well, contact support@prolon.nl.

Order before 16:00 on a working day and receive your ProLon order the next working day if you live in the Netherlands. Orders for Belgium and Luxembourg usually take one (sometimes two) days longer.

Free shipping above €50,-. If your order is under €50, we charge a fixed fee of €7,25 shipping costs per order, regardless of where you live.

Returning is permitted under certain circumstances, and must be shipped within 14 days in the original sealed box. For the terms and conditions and more information about returning, read our return policy.

About ProLon® 5-day fasting diet

The ProLon® 5-day fasting diet is a plantbased, low in calorie and scientifically supported 5-day fasting diet. Because of 20 years of research, this diet is a combination of macro nutritients (fat, carbohydrates and protein) and micro nutritients (essential viatmines and minerals) that have been carefully combined to provide the best effects of fasting, while still being nurtured.

ProLon® 5-dagen fasting diet is a 5-day low calorie dieet. You eat between 1100 and 750 calories which causes the body to start fasting. In this process the body can start to break down and remove bad cells and build up new and healthy cells. Your body will experience a “reset”.

A ProLon® 5-day fasting diet takes five days. It is recommended to consume lightly digestible food, on the sixth day. After this, you may eat and drink as you like. The ProLon box comes with a menu on which all the information about how to use and prepare all the products the coming five days, can be found. The menu is an advice. You may choose to consume the meals in whatever order you like. Do not take any products that have not been consumed on another day and consume all the meals in the box for that designated day.

The goal of the ProLon® 5-days fasting diet is to optimalize the general health of the body. After the diet you might experience weight loss, especially around the waist. Every body is different and this is why the results per person might differ.

Clinical studies have shown that by following the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet once a month, during three consecutive months might result into permanent weight loss while muscle tissue is preserved.

For optimal results it is recommended to follow the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet once a month during three consecutive months. It is possible to repeat this proces every year.

ProLon® 5-day fasting diet stimulates the renewal of cells and the improvement of focus and energy. Furthermore, ProLon® 5-day fasting diet contributes to the stimulation of fat burning, of which mainly stomach fat.

The great health benefits of the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet will last up to three months after finishing the diet.

The ProLon® 5-day fasting diet is meant for healthy people who would like to preserve or improve their health and wellness and for people who are experiencing problems with their weight and who would like to handle it in a proactive and healthy manner.

ProLon has researched different possibilities of weights and lenghts and has adapted the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet in a way that it is accessible for a large audience. The included L-Drink is dosed according to body weight to supply the body with just enough glycerine to stimulate the fasting.

Some people will experience mild ketosis as where others might not experience ketosis at all. The average ketoses level will be at the highest point around day five of the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet.

The use of ProLon® 5-Day Fasting

No, this is not recommended. The meals and ingredients of the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet have been carefully measured for optimal results.

Yes, you may decide in which order and on which time you consume a meal, as long as you eat all the meals of that designated day. Also, do not take any unconsumed products to the next day. The diet has been measured carefully per day. An examplary meal schedule is included.

To achieve optimal results it is recommended to complete the entire 5-day fasting diet.

It is strongly disencouraged to continue following the ProLon® 5-days fasting diet longer than recommended. For optimal results following the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet should be alternated with nurturing the body.

It is not recommended to practice sports during the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet. You do not consume enough calories to burn. If you would still like to practice sports, practice for maximum 15 minutes and drink plenty of water. Recommended sports are, for example walking, jogging or practicing yoga.

Preparation of ProLon® 5-day fasting diet

Yes, you may add a total of one teaspoon of spices, salt and/or pepper to the soups. Use preferably unprocessed spices such as red chili flakes.

It is disenouraged to do so. When you really want to, take a maximum of two pieces of sugar free chewing gum per day.

When you are following the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet, it is not recommended to drink coffee or tea next to the content of the box. If you really need coffee, you may drink a maximum one cup of black coffee per day (preferably decaf). Next to the ProLon box, you may drink herbal tea, as long as it does not contain additives such as colorants or added sugars.

No, we do not recommend that you add fruit to your water. If you really want to add fruit, you may add a maximum of one lemon slice.

Allergy and other medical questions

You cannot follow the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet if you are allergic to nuts, oats, soy, sesame seeds or celery.

Yes, the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet is gluten free.

Yes, the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet is lactose free.

The ProLon® 5-day fasting diet is suitable for vegetarians, but not for vegans. The nutbars contain honey.

No, it is disencouraged to follow the ProLon® 5-day fasting diet when you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or if you are breastfeeding.

Headaches can be from reduced caffeine intake during the ProLon program. To prevent this, we suggest slowly reducing your caffeine beginning a few days before you start your ProLon cycle.

Headaches can also be from the fasting state, thought to be related to ketones being used as a fuel source, and they typically diminish with repeated ProLon cycles. People can also get headaches from fasting if they are not drinking enough fluids, so if you develop a headache, please make sure you are well-hydrated. If drinking some extra fluids does not alleviate your headache, you may use over-the-counter pain medications like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or aspirin, according to product instructions, as long as the labels do not instruct against use during fasting or very low-calorie diets.

–1 cup (8-12fl oz) of coffee (no cream or sweetener)
—or- 2 cups (16fl oz) of black or green tea (traditionally steeped), no matcha
—or- 6 cups (48fl oz) of decaf coffee (no cream of sweetener)

• Up to 1 tablespoon of dried herbs or spices per day to your soups or other foods in the diet to enhance the flavor (preferably unprocessed, e.g., red pepper flakes)
• Up to 1 teaspoon of sea salt (as long as there are no health contraindications)
• Up to 2 slices of lemon per day (squeezed, not eaten), whether you use it in your soups, herbal teas, or water.
• Up to 2 pieces of sugar-free gum per day while on ProLon.

You should add food to the program only as a last resort if you are so incredibly hungry that you feel like you are going to break the fast. In such an instance, you may have a slice or two of apple, 1 stalk of celery, or 1 small Persian (“baby”) cucumber of 5-6 inches in length per day.

Time-restricted eating (e.g.: overnight fasting for 12-16 hours), the 5:2 diet, and alternate day fasting are all included under the umbrella term of IF. While there are a variety of fasting methods within the category of IF, they are all based on eating patterns that alternate between intervals of eating and fasting.

People practice intermittent fasting for many reasons, including for weight loss and other potential health benefits. In terms of weight loss, by shortening the window of time during which food is consumed, generally fewer calories are consumed overall which can result in weight loss which varies by individual. There are also other potential health benefits associated with synchronizing the fasting window to the sleep cycle (i.e.: not eating after dinner). Benefits you may receive using ReSet vary between individuals, and depend on your overall lifestyle, including exercise, dietary intake on non-fasting days, and other lifestyle choices.

Ingredients

ProLon ReSet consists of plant-based soups, bars, snacks, herbal teas, and supplements designed to help support your fasting. The menu suggests which items to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the order in which you consume your food is up to you. Eat and drink only what is in the kit except for water and herbal teas.

ProLon ReSet is vegetarian, not vegan. Our bars contain plant-based protein and are made with honey.

ProLon ReSet is not formulated nor designed with soy ingredients. However, some of the items are produced in facilities that also process soy. Medically Related

Due to nature of fasting, there are common complaints associated with it including fatigue, headache, dizziness / lightheadedness, musculoskeletal pain, nausea, and difficulty with concentration during the fasting period. Complaints are mild and tolerated for most people.

ProLon ReSet is a food-based program. Any significant change in diet (including fiber intake) can contribute to changes in your gut such as bloating, cramping and gassiness, constipation or diarrhea.

Although ProLon ReSet is designed to reduce many of these risks of fasting by providing specific macro and micronutrients, because it is still a low-calorie diet, we encourage you to discuss with your healthcare provider whether the practice of fasting or the use of fasting mimicking diet is right for you. Please avoid the following during the 1-day program:

• Any strenuous exercising or activities that may consume a high level of calories.
• Extreme temperature environments like hot tubs and saunas, or driving long distances under strong sun or heat exposure.

Since ProLon ReSet is a food-based program, please stop the product should you experience any symptom of an allergic reaction such as a rash, change in voice, swelling or fever.

If you feel light-headed or faint, you should eat something, drink juice, or consume a beverage with sugar. If your symptoms do not subside, please contact your physician, or if you feel this is a life- threatening emergency, call 112.

Although fasting for short periods is safe for most generally healthy people, you should talk to your healthcare provider before beginning any diet or diet program to ensure it is safe and right for you. Anyone with a pre-existing condition or taking any prescription medications should consult with a healthcare professional before fasting.

Do not fast or use any products for fasting purposes if:

• You have a fever, cough, diarrhea, signs of an active infection, or are at risk for recurrent infection,
• You are underweight, breastfeeding, or pregnant,
•You have dietary restrictions,
• You have a known, suspected, or diagnosed eating disorder, or
• You are under the age of 18 or over the age of 70 unless you are under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
